Catechesis of the Good Shepherd recognizes each child’s natural abilities to contemplate and enjoy God. In small class sized sessions, children are provided hands-on materials to assist them in pondering God’s abundant gifts for them. While working with 3D materials, they hear words spoken by Jesus; they consider words, sights, and gestures of the Mass; and they are given quiet space to listen to God. This method is rooted in Sacred Scripture, Liturgy, and respect of the young child’s capacities so that they may grow in deeper love relationship with Our Lord.
