The Serra Club is dedicated to promoting and praying for holy vocations to ordained ministry and consecrated life. Named for Junipero Serra, who was canonized during Pope Francis’s trip to the United States in 2017, the Serra Club works with the Archdiocesan Vocations Office, providing support for initiatives of prayer and programs that build awareness of vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, and religious life. Since it’s founding in 1935, in Seattle, Serra has chartered 1,170 Serra Clubs in 46 countries. The Serra Club has also been a great help to increase holy vocations in the St. Paul-Minneapolis Archdiocese.
Membership in a Serra Club provides many opportunities to promote a atmosphere in our parishes that help families to be open to all vocations. In addition, prayer, working together on Serra vocation events, and programs at Serra meetings are occasions for growth in personal holiness. With Serra, there are countless ways for you to establish and deepen friendships with our priests, deacons, and consecrated women and men who serve the families in our archdiocese.
